Cassville, a thriving city nestled in the heart of the Ozarks,
offers the best of everything! Beautiful natural scenery, pure
air, clean water, excellent schools, stores and services with
small town warmth, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Historically, Cassville’s Main Street was once the "Old
Wire Road," which followed the first telegraph line in
1859. Both Union and Confederate troops used the route during
the Civil War, and between, October 31-November 7, 1861, Cassville
served as the Confederate Capital of Missouri.
Recreation activities for old and young alike are unlimited
in the Cassville area. The City of Cassville is home to a family
aquatic park that includes two large water slides, four lane
lap pool with diving board, zero depth entry pool, and a kiddie
pool. Cassville residents enjoy one of the finest golf courses
in the area. This 18-hole course with grass greens and watered
fairways provides a full-service clubhouse, practice range and
swimming pool. We are only seven miles from Missouri’s most
popular State Park, Roaring River State Park, and only 14 miles
from the second largest lake in Missouri, Table Rock Lake with
857 miles of shoreline. Cassville is surrounded on two sides
by the Mark Twain National Forest.
